If somebody were to ask me what the most important thing about writing is, I’d say this: You have to establish a rhythm.
Rules are there to be broken, but you have to have rules first – my new ‘regime’ is the only reason why I managed to write 3000 words in the first three days of this week.
I’ve slackened off since then, which isn’t good, but I’m pretty close to being back in the saddle. There’s nothing like an email from Goodreads to send your writing mojo skyrocketing. I’d sent an application for their Author Program a few months ago, and eventually assumed that they had not considered me suitable for Goodreads authorship. Imagine my surprise when I checked my email yesterday afternoon:
- You can now add Stones in the Road to your Goodreads library
- You can follow me on Goodreads for additional updates you won’t get anywhere else
- By adding Stones in the Road to your Goodreads library, you can find similar books which you might also enjoy.
I’d love to see you on Goodreads, but please don’t forget that you can also connect with me on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest
I’ll look forward to seeing you somewhere in cyberspace soon!
[…] Last week, I wrote that ‘the most important thing about writing is finding a rhythm’. Like everything else in writing, that is far easier said than done. I appreciate that now, after a very challenging writing week. […]
